Dead Rat Purse

Really?!? A purse made out of a dead rat? Now I have seen everything. Don’t get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against rats and other rodents in general, but do I want to be carrying a dead one around as a purse? That would be a resounding no. It’s not my thing, but maybe it’s yours. The designer, Reid Peppard, makes many other taxidermy pieces as well which can be found in a few select boutiques and online here and here.

This reminds me of the taxidermy show titled “Immortalized” on the AMC network. Which right now isn’t even running reruns. I have no idea if there will be another season.
I would be slightly worried that there would be some sort of disease or parasite buried in the hide. Maybe that’s just an over reaction. I suppose they tan the hid or treat it with heat or something. But in an odd way I would love to share some mints in that purse with some of the mean old ladies that I have know. Have them reach in with their leathery old hide and draw out a mint or some candy before they knew what it was.
