I must have missed this one on my first pass through of Pottery Barn’s Halloween stuff. Very awesome skeleton bowl stand. I guess it’s part of the collection with the salt and pepper shaker I blogged about here. Anyway, I really like this more as an ice bucjket than anything else. Buy yours here.

Skulls, Skulls, Skulls

Okay, so if you are as crazy as I think you are about skulls you desperately need to check out the Stephen Einhorn store online here. They have almost anything your heart desires in the shape of a skull made out of metal. Gorgeous, but pricey.

Halloween Crystals

It’s a little early for Halloween stuff, but the stores are starting to put it out and I just get so excited that I can’t wait. These little magnetic Halloween crystals can hang from anything metal and will give you that little hint of spooky before you really start decorating. You get three ghosts or bats for $39. A little steep, but oh so fun. They won’t cause anyone to scream or lose their lunch, but might be worth a little macabre giggle. Get yours here.

Pierced Metal Lantern

Filexd under: Accessories,Lighting — Tags: , , , — jane @

Pierced Metal LanternWhile poking around in one of the cute little shops that I frequent I found this creepy little Pierced Metal Lantern. Well, okay so it wasn’t a quaint little shop with one of a kind items. It was Cost Plus World Market. But they have great stuff even if it is a national chain. Those one of a kind items tend to be expensive anyway. If you don’t have one of these stores in your city you are completely missing out. Luckily they do sell online. This lantern actually reminds me of the thurible thing that priests swing around in church carrying incense. It just has a creepyness to it that I like. I’m picturing it in a corner against very darkly painted walls like navy blue, purple or even a deep red. Come to think of it I think it would look really good in the corner of my guest bath where the walls are painted a deep blue. The light patterns would be fantastic. I have a thing for light patterns because they create spooky images and shadows. It’s all about ambiance people and this will give it to you.
