Crawling Body in Cemetery

Filexd under: Crafts,Halloween Decor,Home,Outdoors — Tags: , , , , , — jane @

I can’t believe that I never thought of this idea before! I’m always looking for something new to add to our Halloween decor. Of course we do the obligatory cemetery in out front yard, but I never thought of adding a crawling body trying to escape the horrors of our cemetery. Just brilliant and I am so stealing this!

Tree Face and Arms Set

Filexd under: Halloween Decor,Nature,Outdoors,TV/Movies — Tags: , , , , , , , , , — jane @

Don’t get me wrong I like this and a year ago I would have thought it was a great Halloween decoration. Now, though, I see it and immediately think, “I am Groot”. If you don’t understand that reference then you need to get yourself to the movies and see Guardian’s of the Galaxy. Once you see that you will understand why this is not scary. If after that you still find it scary then you can buy yours here.

Creepy Clowns Roaming California

Filexd under: Misc.,News/Articles,Outdoors,TV/Movies,Weird Stuff — Tags: , , , , , , , , — jane @

If you’re like me and don’t like clowns then just steer clear of Southern California. Clowns have been appearing at night since October 1st in a town called Wasco, but now they are being spotted in some neighboring towns. There was also a clown spotted for awhile in a town in England last year which I wrote about here. After seeing the clown in American Horror Story last Wednesday I have no desire to ever run into one again. Read the story here.

Skeleton Dog

I first saw this guy last Halloween and wanted him so badly, but unfortunately he was sold out. Well, now he’s in stock and I am ordering him as I write this. I have no idea what I’m going to do with him, but I’ll find something. I just wish I could make him walk. I would love to walk down the street with him as if he were real just to see the reactions from my neighbors. They already think I’m nuts, so why not feed it a little more, right? Scary husband calls me the devil (affectionately, of course) but I say I’m just making their lives more interesting by giving them something to talk about. Get your little puppy here.

DIY Ghosts

Filexd under: Crafts,Decor,Halloween Decor,Home,Outdoors — Tags: , , , , , , , — jane @

So, this is the new yard decoration we are trying this year. All you need is a roll of chicken wire and some wire cutters and just start forming your body. Don’t forget to use some work gloves or you’ll end up with some bloody ghosts, which I guess is okay if that’s the look you’re going for. When it’s done you spray it with glow in the dark paint and place it somewhat far from the sidewalk. If it’s too close your guests will be able to see the chicken wire and it won’t be as spooky. I am still in the process of forming the bodies, but it’s a lot easier than I thought it would be. I’m doing three of them that I plan on placing in some sort of grouping. Maybe in a circle, I don’t know. So excited to see how they work out. If you want to create them for your yard you can read the directions here.

Are you looking for a way to punch up your Halloween party and live in a sunny state with a pool? Get a red lens cover for your pool light and it’ll turn your water a lovely shade of blood. How creepy cool is that? Most brands make them, so do a search online or start here.
