Zombie-Opoly

Filexd under: Games,Toys/Games,TV/Movies — Tags: , , , , , , — jane @

Okay, now I’ve seen everything. I thought that every single idea for a Monopoly game had been done. Apparently I was wrong. It pains me to admit that this kind of sounds interesting though. Instead of buying blocks you buy zombies, flesh and screaming humans. Could be a fun game to try, but probably not as good as the original. I have only come across one ripoff game that was better than the original and that’s The Pirates of the Caribbean version of Life. So much more fun than the original. Can be a little expensive when you find it since I’m not sure if they make it anymore, but if you do come across it I highly recommend it. If you want to try out Zombie-Opoly, however, you can get it here.

Plants vs. Zombies Yahtzee

Filexd under: Games,Home,Misc.,Novelty,Toys/Games,Weird Stuff — Tags: , , , , , , — jane @

My whole family is obsessed with Yahtzee and we play it almost every day, but no matter how much I like all things scary I just find this version weird. I guess it would be cool to have it on your shelf, but I’m not sure that you could get as much fun out of it. Who knows, though? Maybe I’d love it. It is pretty cute. Get yours here.

Ultimate Deck

I love playing cards and I love any kind of card game, but this might be the greatest deck I have ever seen. Each of the 54 cards in this Ultimate Deck of cards by Dan & Dave shows a unique piece of artwork from design agency Stranger & Stranger. Most of them are macabre and vaguely disturbing. Check them out and buy your own set here.

Zombie Poetry

Whenever I throw a party for my zombie friends (trust me I have a lot) we have a hard time finding things we all like to do. Honestly, I’ve stopped having them lately because of it. If you don’t keep zombies busy they have a tendency to try to eat you. Now, though, we can all sit around the fridge and think up fun zombie poetry and haikus with my new Zombie Magnetic Poetry Kit. Problem solved! Now if only I could figure out what snacks to serve. Get your own Zombie Poetry Kit here.

Dracula’s Heir

Filexd under: Books,Fairy Tales,Games — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , — jane @

Once in a while I wander through the bargain books area at Barnes and Noble looking for anything fun and unusual. This time I found the book Dracula’s Heir by Sam Stall. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I am very intrigued. It has all sorts of little envelopes to open inside. Apparently it’s an Interactive Mystery, so there are clues to help you solve some murders that happened 10 years after the events in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Not sure how interactive it can be since I didn’t exist in 1907, which is when this book takes place, but that’s maybe just me be being picky.

Found this link about the Ouija Board through the Fright Catalog website and just knew I had to share it with you guys. I love Ouija Boards. Not because I believe in it, but because of the artwork that you can find on them. Especially the older ones. Go ahead and read this. It’s interesting reading and gives you a little background on it’s history. While you’re at it check out the Fright Catalog website. If you have never visited them before you’re in for a treat. They have great Halloween props.
