Just when you thought I was done with T-Shirt Tuesday it’s back. A reader sent me a link to this T-Shirt site called Akumu Ink. Akumu is Japanese for nightmare. Gotta love that! They have some amazingly unique T-Shirts with this Japanese horror pop vibe that is so hot right now. I fell in love with most of them, but this blood red Drifter Girls T-Shirt is my favorite. It has a scary whimsical feel to it that I am very attracted to. Plus, I look really hot in red I’m told. Check out their website here for all of their great designs.

Here’s one tip if you want someone like me to look at something on the internet. Have the word “Evil” in the title. I can’t resist that word for some reason. A reader sent me this link to a jewelry designer on Etsy and as I was looking around I found this fantastic Evil Eye Ring. I’ve seen a lot of eye rings in my time, but this one is really cool. it depicts two tentacles wrapped around a porthole with an eye looking through it. Is it the poor schmuck inside looking out or the creature looking in? You decide. Check out his Etsy page here for more information on this and other unique designs.

I’ve always loved doing my nails a little quirky. My normal is having them painted black with one random dark blue or red on each hand, but once in awhile I switch it up. I found these great Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips recently, so I’ve been doing them a lot as well. They go on ridiculously easy and last for a week to 2 weeks. Apparently there were even Halloween themed ones available during October. Sucks that I missed that, but I’ll be on the look out this year. My favorite up to now is I Love Lacey. Unfortunately they keep discontinuing designs, so who knows how long that will be available.
When we had our daughter I spent hours looking online for clothes that weren’t the standard pink. I hate pink and I didn’t want my daughter to be forced to wear it unless she liked it. Of course my girl ended up hating all things pink and princessy just like her momma. Still finding things that were a little more edgy was really difficult. It’s not that I wanted to put her in leather and chains and become S&M baby. I just wanted an alternative to the pinks and purples. If only this Monster Baby Dress had existed when she was a baby. It comes from an Australian company called A Little Bit of Cheek. They have lots of great clothes and accessories for your alternative child. So you have to pay higher shipping costs… so what? She’ll be the coolest baby in preschool.

Here’s a great and easy way to give yourself a Bloody manicure. I see them all over the place, but usually they look just a little too perfectly drippy and unrealistic. I like the way she does it so randomly and not in cute little droplet forms. If you were to get actual blood dripping on your nails from scratching or some other everyday gruesome activity I think they would look more like this.

Speaking of weird sunglasses, how about these Dripping Sunglasses? I would kill for a pair of these, but alas they were just custom made by Anna Ter Haar for a fashion show. Bitch.

I don’t know about you, but I love weird sunglasses. I’m not talking about the stupid ones where the eyes are shaped like a beer mug or a peace sign. I mean the unusual ones like these great Cat’s Eye Glasses from Victorian Trading Co. Technically they are “Costume Eyewear”, but that never stops me from wearing them in the evening around town. Just don’t count on them protecting you during the day from that blazing sun. You’ll still burn to a crisp, but the upside will be that you’ll look cool doing it.

I just love it when you guys send me links to cool stuff you’ve found on the internet. Luckily there is so much neat stuff available out there, but it does make it impossible for me to find everything. This time around I was sent a link to this fantastic Skull Friendship Bracelet made by Links of London. I remember making Friendship Bracelets in high school with embroidery thread. This one is made with copper colored silk thread and sterling silver skull beads and sells for a cool $195. I really love it, though I think it would be much prettier in black silk. Somehow I don’t think the ones we made back then would have sold for that much. That has to be a really, really good friend for me to spend that much on a friendship bracelet. I’m not sure I’ve ever had that good of a friend, but if you buy it for me I’ll be your new bestie.

You know how much I love skeletons, right? Up until now I thought everything would look much better if it had a skull or even a skeleton on it. That is until I saw this Lovely Bones Lace Headband. I’m not usually a headband kind of girl. I tend to let my long hair hang loose on most days, but I’ll put it in braids or even up on a hot day. Never a headband. They are just too itchy. I do enjoy the funny ones on holidays or for costumes, but it pretty much ends there. This particular one… well, I just don’t know what to say about it. It looks stupid for one thing. If you took the little skeleton off it would be actually quite pretty. Apparently when the designer (an idiot IMO) put all of the black ribbon, lace and feathers together she/he thought it needed a little something else to creep it up a bit. A blood red rose maybe? Nah. Oh wait, what about a spider? No, not enough pizazz. I know! Let’s slap a tiny plastic skeleton right in the middle of it! Sure, that makes total sense. I mean who wouldn’t be creeped out by a real live tiny skeleton on someone’s head? Perfect! Now, let’s charge $39.95 for it and it’ll fly off the shelves. We’ll be rich in no time. Great plan asshole.

For some reason I keep getting distracted by creepy skull cakes. Every single one I find is better than the last one. Well, at least that’s what I think. I promise this will be the last one for a long time. Unless, of course, I find a better one. I think that’s impossible, though. This has to be the best one. This particular one is based on a T-Shirt design on the Threadless.com website called “Bitter Teeth“. The t-shirt has a graphic of a melting chocolate skull on it. It was made by Chloe Bird for a yearly contest on Threadcakes.com. Basically you submit a picture of a cake you made that turns the t-shirt graphic into an edible cake. It’s apparently a very popular contest, but since I can’t bake a cake to save my soul, I’d never heard of it. Don’t judge me. Anyway, this Bitter Teeth cake is just amazing and it’s completely edible! If you go to the detail page on Threadcakes.com about this cake she takes you through the whole process of making the cake with pictures and descriptions. This girl has a hell of a lot more patience than I do. Very impressive and I think it’s just a coincidence that it happens to look just like a certain melted face from a popular movie. A hundred points if you can guess what it is. The hundred points won’t get you anything, but you’ll have bragging rights. Not sure anybody would care though.
