I get links from you guys all the time and it’s great. Sometimes it takes me awhile to check them all out and for that I’m sorry. Keep sending them though because not all of them are worth writing about. The subject of today’s blog post was sent to me back in February! Ack! Anyway, this is about tights. Scary tights for that matter. I remember when they just came in solid colors. I’m not a huge fan of tights and leggings in general. Reminds me too much of the 80s. You remember the black stir-up pants that women would wear with a huge sweater and scrunchy socks to match? Ew! I see tights now and that’s all I can think of. Hopefully that ridiculous style will not be brought back anytime soon. I have to admit that these tights are way cool, though I just can’t get myself to ever think about wearing them. These tights are called Blood Bath and are designed by James Lillis for his company Black Milk. Mr. Lillis just started the company a little over a year ago and it has now grown into one of the most popular tight brands available. He also runs a blog called Too Many tights where you can keep up with news and products. He will be releasing a new line of printed leggings shortly, so the pair shown and seven others on his site will be discontinued in the next week. If any of them catch your eye you’d better order them or they will be gone forever. Of course who knows what he has in store for the new line. Might be worth the wait.
*Thanks Beautiful Kind for the link!

As I have stated before I am not really a wallpaper fan. I do come across ones that I like now and then, but when I think of trying to remove it one day, when I get tired of it, I come to my senses. There is one thing I’m sure of though, I will never want to put bug wallpaper on my walls. This wallpaper, called Ms. Ward, is actually very cool looking, but I know I would start feeling the creepy crawlies every time I looked at it. I like scary, but not creepy crawlies. This was designed by Katie Deedy of Grow House Grow and part of the Naturalist Collection which features long forgotten women of science. Mary Ward (1827-1869), the inspiration for this pattern, was a renowned entomologist. Each wallpaper design has a neat little story attached to it and all of them are worth checking out. Many different papers are in the series, but the one I find incredibly fascinating is the paper called Aleister. That one is based on Ka Cox and her bizarre run-in with the infamous Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) in Cornwall during the summer of 1938 when she mysteriously passed away. Anything attached to “the wickedest man in the world” is usually worth a read.
It’s T-Shirt Tuesday and today I went with something that was more funny than scary. It just made me laugh when I saw it. This Prankster T-Shirt comes from the crazy minds over at GlennzTees.com. I love their imagination and originality. The really neat thing about this company though, is that you can vote on designs for future t-shirts. How awesome is that?

So you think you have the ultimate creepy bathroom with the bloody shower curtain and rug, a razorblade mirror, the skull toilet brush and the skull towel holder? I bet you don’t have the ultimate scary soap. I’ve searched long and hard over the years for a good scary soap and I was actually rewarded today when I found this Skull Soap. It’s black and it features a scary ass skull on it. What more could you want? Well, for it to be available in the US would make me happy. This little rockin’ bar of soap made by Night Moth is only available in the UK for roughly $6.19, but that’s before shipping. They make other scary soaps such as Necronomicon, a coffin, R.I.P., a bat and even a gothic cherub. Really cool soap, I must say. Wouldn’t it be cool if they lathered up in black too? Or even red?
Okay, I admit it. Now and then I take a walk on the normal side and check out Cuteoverload.com. It’s not something I’m proud of, but sometimes a ridiculously cute little bunny or kitty can put a smile on my face. I was in the middle of giving into this need when I was rewarded with something that’s a little more my style. I’ve made no secret of my love for all things Hitchcock, so when I came across this Peep remake of The Birds I was a very happy Scary Jane. I love the imagination of people. I personally hate peeps. I think they taste disgusting, but they sure make for some cool dioramas. This one was done by Jill Goebel of Alexandria, VA and was a semifinalist in the fourth annual Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest.
We have been dealing with a family emergency this past week and a half and I just have been too depressed and uninspired to write anything. I won’t go into it, but things are looking a little brighter the last few days, so I am hoping to start blogging again. It may not be every day, but certainly more often then it has been. I hope you guys can understand and forgive me. If you do, you rock and if not, I don’t need you anyway!
