Skull Chair

Filexd under: Furniture, Office — Tags: , , , — jane @ 6:28 pm

Now this Tattooed Skull Chair is cool! If it wasn’t $4000 I’d already own it. This comes from the Mama-Tried Studios located in Brooklyn and is designed by Scott Campbell owner of Saved Tattoo. It’s actually a leather chair that is hand tattooed and apparently takes just as long to do as tattooing a person. They also offer tattooed leather pillows that might be more in your budget for $125. Check out their website for a bunch of other items as well. One particular item that I am coveting and I might just have to give in to is the laser etched replacement backs for Apple laptops. They cost $200, but they are so awesome and you can bet you won’t see a bunch of them around. There are quite a few designs, but I am particular to the shown below.Skull Chair

Dracula’s Castle

Filexd under: Travel — Tags: , , , — jane @ 9:24 pm

Dracula's CastleVampires all want to go back to their roots and visit Dracula’s Castle, or should I say Bran Castle, in Transylvania, Romania. Nothing strange about that. Unfortunately, travel is not so easy for your run-of-the-mill vampire. We can’t all be rich and live in castles. Some of us have to eke out a living working nights at the local video store and living in an old mausoleum. In case you didn’t know, video store clerks don’t make that much. Anyway, I am here to help all of you lowly vampires who do not have the sort of life where you can travel and visit your homeland. Now you can take a 360 tour of Bran Castle on your computer. That is if you can even afford that.

Blood Pillow

Filexd under: Bed & Bath — Tags: , , , , , — jane @ 4:39 pm

Blood Puddle PillowDo you like to play jokes on people? Do you have a sick mind like I do? If you can’t handle a little bit of fun in your day, then just go away and do not return to Scary Jane. You will not like it here. For those of you that stuck around, thank goodness you have a sense of humor. I just needed to clear out the riff raff. Anyway, is this the greatest pillow ever or what? This here is what you call a Blood Puddle Pillow. It was designed by Keetra Dixon and made of silk velvet and batting. Imagine the fun you could have with this thing. Plus you can get in a good nap, too. Of course the screams when people found you would obviously wake you up, so maybe it’s not good for a nap. Just one problem. Where do I get one?

Baby Soap Hands

Filexd under: Bed & Bath — Tags: , , — jane @ 5:20 pm

Speaking of body parts, here are some little soaps in the shape of baby hands. Now that’s creepy. Though in a way it does make sense. Hand soap in the shape of little hands. Wash your hands with hands. Of course! Why didn’t I think of that? Seeing it though, in baby form, turns up the creepy factor. This of course makes me love it. These are handmade and only 20 sets are made every day. They may sell out during the day, but every day at noon 20 more sets will be available. Each hand is made from natural vegetable glycerin and is a different shape and skin tone. Here’s a great gift idea! The next time you get invited to one of those baby showers where everything is darling in pastel pink or blue and it all just makes you want to gag bring along a nice little bag of baby hands. Watch all of the shocked and frightened looks and you’ll get to leave in no time. What expectant mother wouldn’t want little cut off baby hands?

Plastic Body Parts Jewelry

Filexd under: Jewelry — Tags: , , — jane @ 4:29 pm

Plastic Body Parts JewelryWhat will artists think of next? This is probably the most unique and creative jewelry I have ever seen. When was the last time you saw a plastic pair of boobies fashioned into a necklace or a bunch of arms turned into a bracelet? Do you have the balls to wear a plastic butt on your shirt? This is a very creepy and funny jewelry line designed by Margaux Lange who is based in Brooklyn, NY. Take a look at her website. It’s amazing what she has done with all of those body parts. She grew up loving Barbie and thought of a creative way to celebrate her. I was never a huge Barbie fan and enjoy seeing her dead and dismembered. Is that wrong?

Coffin Couch

Filexd under: Furniture — Tags: , , , — jane @ 4:15 pm

If you are a coffin lover then here are two to die for. The Coffin Couch on the left is made from an actual coffin! It can be custom made and sells for $3500 and is also available in a chair. The Closing Coffin Couch on the right can also be used as a table and is available in purple, red or black velvet and also sells for $3500. My question is: When was the last time you were at a funeral and thought, “Hey lets pop that sucker open and have a seat!”? I know I claim to be the queen of all things scary, but I’m not sure about this. At first I thought it was totally cool. The more I thought about it, though, the creepier it got. It’s one thing to sit in it I guess, but can you imagine lying down on the closing one to watch your favorite television show and it slams shut? I have to admit it would be great for a lazy vampire. He could place it right in front of his television. When it’s time for bed just lie down and close it up. When you wake up just open and turn on the tube. So, if you have any vampire friends this may just be the perfect gift. It would take a big bite out of your wallet, I admit, but wouldn’t it be worth it? Since you bought them such a nice gift, he might be less likely to take a bite out of you! Closing Coffin CouchCoffin Couch

Sparkly Vampires

Filexd under: Apparel — Tags: , , , , — jane @ 1:39 pm

Sparkly Vampire TeeOnce again it is T-Shirt Tuesday and this one is in honor of all the Twilighters out there. The t-shirt reads I <3 Sparkly Vampires. Now, I have a lot to say about the Twilight series, but I know I need to tread lightly for fear of losing every last one of my few readers, so I’ll keep most of it to myself. I will say that I did enjoy the first movie, but I’m not a huge fan of the books. Too much romance for me to be honest. The first time I saw the movie and the whole sparkly vampire effect I must admit I snickered. It read better than it looked. Now, if Robert Pattinson wants to be sparkly that’s fine with me. I could look at him for hours without being bothered by the whole diamond effect. But I’m old school when it comes to vampires. I think they need to burst into flames and turn to dust in the sun, but that’s just me. I am a different generation from most of the Twilighters. As you can tell I am not a huge fan, but still a fan none the less, but I must admit I love this t-shirt! Even if you haven’t read or seen Twilight I think everyone knows about the sparkly effect. So, show your true sparkly vampire spirit and slap down the $17.99 for this t-shirt so everyone will know how you feel.

Alien Gnome Bandits

Filexd under: Art, Outdoors — Tags: , , , — jane @ 3:44 pm

Alien Gnome BanditsSomeone pointed out these Alien Gnome Bandits to me a while back and I just love them. The only problem is they remind me of something and I just can’t put my finger on it. It’s probably a movie, but could be a TV show. All I can remember is that there are some little people or trolls or tiny monsters taking away a gnome from someones yard and they are carrying it exactly like these guys. They are laughing and snickering while they run away with it. This is driving me crazy! I know a short ride…yada yada yada. I know it’s something I have seen recently, though. If anyone has an idea of what I am remembering please, I beg you, let me know. Regardless they are just hilarious. They were designed by Utah artist Fred Conlon. He uses recycled and found metal that will rust over time to make these weather safe guys. The regular one for $49.95 is 8″ tall, but there is also a large one at 15″ tall available for $149.95. A little steep, I admit, but so worth it for the laugh you’ll get every time you leave your house.

Skull Towel Holder

Filexd under: Bed & Bath — Tags: , , — jane @ 6:09 pm

Skull Towel Holder 2Skull Towel HolderSpeaking of skulls, here’s a good one for you if you have a skull fetish. A skull towel holder! It’s only $19.99, so get out your wallet and order it. Made of cold cast resin, its 12 1/2 inches high, 6 3/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. How cool is that? You could put it in your bathroom to match the skull toilet brush that you bought. Which you did if you were a good follower. There is even a skull toilet paper holder available if you feel the need to really let loose on your skull love. Be careful though, you wouldn’t want anyone to think you lost your head. Yeah, I know.

Skull Sauna

Filexd under: Art, Bed & Bath, Weird Stuff — Tags: , — jane @ 1:47 pm

Skull SaunaI may be a little late to this party since it appeared back in November, but I just discovered this Skull Sauna. Technically it is called the Wellness Skull. The skull stands about 15 feet and is made of wood and synthetic material. It was designed by the Dutch artist Joep van Lieshout as an installation for the Karlsplatz in Vienna. This is part of an effort by Public Art Vienna to revitalize the area around their capital. It is apparently fully functional with even a shower and a bathtub. That all sounds great, but here’s the sucky part. No one can use it. They can only look at it. You can’t even witness the steam emanating from the eye sockets because that only works when it’s on. That’s just stupid. What’s the point? Explain to me why this is necessary. The original idea was cool, though or should I say hot? Yeah, I know, not funny.
